HI Candy,

Send the pics of your antique canes to canes@gadgetcanes.com along with a detailed written description - if you don't know, tell us where you picked it up, what you think they might be, etc... Once I have the pictures I'll get them up on the site so others can offer their help.

i have a 1850s remighton percussion cane an i can only find one example of this cane an its in the national firearm muesum under lot 49. i cannot find a value on this item it is in near perfect conditon. i would really like help in finding the value of this item - and -

i have a very rare eagle head cane that was giving from democrates of colts armory to general caleb cushing. on the silver ring it states " To gen. Caleb Cushing from the democrates of colts armory april 2, 1860 charter oak". there has only ben one example of this cane come up on auction an it was recent. it is my understanding that he only made 3 an gave them to what he thought to be 3 of the most curagious democrates of his time an one was mayor woods of new york an mr. wright( the one that was just sold at auction) an mine caleb cushing. he was the most important figure of the time. new york times on april 13, 1860 states the value of the cane to be atleast $25,000.0 considering the intrinsic and historical value of the presant. the cane was made from the charter oak tree that fell in 1850 it was a very historical tree. i would like to find the value of this item. thank you

i also have an very early commemrative thomas jefferson cane signed by jay.h. buckley. he was a very good friend of jerrerson an adams.he was a very important man in history for the ressons he was a big part of the american indian treaty an the loius an clark adventure. any help with the value of the cane or information on this cane would be greatly apprecited. thank you an i can send pics of any of my cans
